I hate working for hours on end, especially when I'm working on my computer!
When i'm at work I usually work in 2-3 hour blocks, then I'll take a break.
Then repeat until my 8 hour shift is done.
I came across a more effective technique, the Pomodoro technique! I love this technique because you work your butt in short blocks as opposed to 2-3 hour blocks!
Google defines this technique as:
a time management system that encourages people to work with the time they have—rather than against it. Using this method, you break your workday into 25-minute chunks separated by five-minute breaks. These intervals are referred to as pomodoros
